BUSTED
We
have finished our long-in-the-works PORCH CHOPS cd BUSTED and
will be sending it off to the pressing plant as soon as the art
is done...We were lucky to have Greg follow up his stints sittin
in with us at the East End in 2002 and 2004 with a visit to our
studio sessions for Busted. He added parts to 5 Chops originals
and really made us sound as if we had a clue! The CD will also
include
the very first Chops original, "Just A Memory" in it's
first official release.

TWO VAGRANTS
Brad
and Butchs long running side-gig as the duo recently took
2nd place in a singer-songwriter contest and won a gig at STONEYS
BRITISH PUB as well as a spot on Realize Records booking roster
so watch for us popping up around town this summer.. Thanks to
Paul Lewis from Realize Records and Mike Stone from Stoneys
for the hospitality and singer/songwriter contest. A great thing
for original music in North Wilmington.

BRAD
& LESLIE CAREY
have begun work on a new duo project at Target
Studios and Scobell Studio (aka The Rabbit Hole) with lots of
our musically dexterous friends lending their talents...lots of
new original tunes and a couple of tasty surprises...we'll keep
you posted...Check out local live music...our buddies Nine Eyes,
Butch Zito, the Leslie Carey Band, the Sin City Band, Mad Sweet
Pangs, Apex Watson, Libby McDowell, Sam Smick and Montana Wildaxe
every chance you get...

BUTCH
ZITO
has released BUTCHIE SONGS, a collection of originals
recorded on two coasts with a grand aggregation of musical conspirators
including fellow Chops Brad Riesau and Christian Salcedo; pedal
steel legend Bobby Black (Commander Cody), guitarist Barry Sless
(David Nelson Band, Phil Lesh & Friends) and members of BZB,
Railroad Pete and Stackabones among them.

BENEFIT CDs
Never
fear we are working out the final legal logistics of the
PORCH-AID BENEFIT cds and WILL get these cds out soon...becoming
a one man charitable organization, record label, publisher,
publicist producer and resident lunatic has been overwhelmingly
complex but I guarantee you the wait will be worth it...the
music everyone contributed is incredible and the need for
help down in NOLA is still great so we will plug away and
keep you posted...

RELATED STUFF
For
the last 4+ years Brad has been involved in an exciting recording
project with saxophonist TIM RIES. Tim is a member of the Rolling
Stones horn section and he's getting ready to head out on the
road on their upcoming U.S. Tour in August. His new cd also bows
in August (8/9 on Concord Records) entitled TIM RIES: THE ROLLING
STONES PROJECT. It features jazz arrangements of classic Rolling
Stones tunes like "Gimme Shelter", "Satisfaction",
"Waiting On A Friend", "Paint It Black" and
lots more. Tim lined up a Who's Who of jazz and rock greats to
participate in the sessions such as Charlie Watts, Keith Richards,
Ronnie Wood, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, John Scofield, Bill Frisell,
John Patitucci, Brian Blade, Darryl Jones, Bill Charlap and many
others. Brad is not only involved with Tim as publicist for the
release but is credited as Associate Producer on the project.
"It's been a thrill working with Tim on this record,"
Brad notes. "The melding of the two of my favorite musical
signposts -- The Rolling Stones and great jazz are for me an exhilarating
combo." Check out excerpts from Tim's cd at www.timries.com
